OK, here it is. This is what it be. Leave me alone.

I've been asked by numerous people to publish various digital droppings I accumulate. I've resisted until now because, really, who gives a shit? You really don't care about stuff in my life and I really couldn't give a rat's ass about yours. I don't want to contribute to great web wasteland. I recycle. I know I'm right about this, yet I yield to my peers. One thing peers: if you see yourself portrayed in a light less than what you had hoped, well, tough shit. You asked for it.

With that useless disclaimer, I present the first installment of... a day in the life of eddie.com.

I went to my first MacWorld Expo last week, and I'm not even a Mac guy. Actually, I do have an old Macintosh Classic sitting right next to my Commodore 1702 monitor, but that doesn't count. I went because I wanted to see the Apple hype machine in action. I was not disappointed. The new iMacs lined up like Pez dispensers looked quite iCandy.

Tragedy struck Thursday night. Big Bird was found unconscious at the Anon Salon in San Francisco, lying in a pool of his own regurgitated mealworm. Bird was attending the BarlowFriendz 5.0: EFF Benefit Party and last seen talking to John Perry Barlow about a controversial government plan to use 128-bit encryption on Grateful Dead lyrics. The coroner put the time of death at 11:37pm. Sorry kids. Heroin kills!

ALSO: Word on the Street is that Cookie Monster has been indulging in cookies that "aren't quite the kind mom used to bake".

There is only one answer: Teletubbies

Star Wars update: I have confirmation by this ILM employee that the long awaited Star Wars prequel is "two-thirds in the can". Why would he lie, he's got the jacket?

Saturday was also the night the 11th annual Digital Be-In happened. It was OK, not quite the bomb it could be, but very San Francisco. They wheeled out Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters for this one. While I like Ken and what his vibe is all about, I feel like I identified with him more during my college years. There was quite a strange mix of old hippies, new ravers, and pierced punks. I missed most of the live music and caught only part of the trance experience going on in the "cube". I probably don't feel as warm towards this years event because my old buddy George Clinton broke bad last year. That was a highlight! He came out and dropped some lyrics on top of Mixman samples.

Saturday was Monster Truck day at the Oakland Coliseum. As you can see, the donated charity cars didn't stand a chance to Wild Thang, yet again. On a brighter note, Grave Digger did have to be hauled out in his own coffin.

As seen on the corner of Cole and Carl while waiting for the N-Judah.
